How has the internship been the same as and/or different than your expectations?
/only different... no thechnology related stuff mostly papers... some sort of liststs.
What is similar and different about the culture of the school environment versus the workplace environment? What new skills have you learned that apply to the workplace?
/The environment is about the same as in the main office... Havent learned anyhtyng new. Exept maybe... nope nothing... I knew how to copy and paste since like 1995 or 96 on Windows 3.11 in like DOS and stuff. The text editor was called LEXICON i belive.
What kind of relationship do you have with your mentor and co-workers? How have you grown as a result of interacting with professional adults?
/What relationship are you talking about? Mentor is the boss, co-workers are about the same. They give me stuff to do i do it. What other relashionship should there be? i dont get it? Maybe in america you dont do what your boss tells you? I dont understand this question maybe break it down into a fiew more specific ones...
What challenges at the internship have you faced that you have overcome and how did you overcome them?
/I havent faced any challenges... if it was challenging i guess i wouldnt do it. now would i? if somethig was to chalenging i would tell my mentor its like over my head and wouldnt do it... im just a high school student you cant trust me to compleate difficult asighnments. can you? and if you do how can you even assume they are done corectly? i think giving a task to some one who you know will screw up is waisting your time.
What challenges have you faced in school as a result of the altered schedule and how are you handling them?
/umm i come home and i want to go to sleep i wake up at 8 eat some other family things and its 10 i done with hw at 12 and get extremely sleepy during the day thats why in school i dont understand anyhtyng im tired and dont remember what hw was and forget to take stuff for my intenship... or i do remember but im to tired and just go to sleep...
What goals are you working to accomplish during the remainder of the internship?
/we were suposed to have goals? umm ok... lets set a goal try and keep up and nopt faint on the way to manhattan and wake up in a hospital. maybe try to not fall asleep on the train and get robbed or something... those are the only goals i can come up wit so far, because i dont even have the internship i wanted and it disgusts me.
What new things have you learned about New York City?
/umm its large crowded... you cant drink till 21 and you cant drink outside and there are like laws that protect you from others and others from you... and there is police and other people like taht on the street who make sure its safe... and that you can get a summit for disorderly conduct and distruction of property or something like that... when my friend got in trouble...

Yuriy, your post is very troubling to read. You carry a negative tone throughout the whole thing that makes me want to stop reading midway through.
It seems to me you are only finding the negatives about your situation, and you are in some way pleased that things are not as great as you hoped so that you can complain about them. Being negative is something you have displayed proficiency in-it is your comfort zone.
Let's get out of your comfprt zone. Find something positive. And talk about that.
The relationship with your mentor question has to do with how you interact with this person. Others have reported having a great relationship where they can talk to them on a somewhat personal level and share something in common. Have you tried to engage your mentor in a conversation about anything? What they are doing? Where they are from?
You reap what you sew. You get out what you put in. Have you put in anything other than negativity and contempt? -AS-
itsnt that like waisting the time that you have to work on the stuff you were told?
